DeKattCo's Cattery

My name is Debra Comeans and my cattery is located in Grove City (close to Columbus), Ohio. I started my cattery back in 2002 when Bodyguard's Madeleine the Princess moved in with me. My mother and Ann-Louise De Voe were co-workers at the time and that was how I got to know Ann-Louise and her cats. She suggested that I co-owned a female (Maddie) with her and she would mentor me. And from there it took off. We now co-own all cats in my house and her house and go to shows together.

I am the Treasurer of the Worldwide European Burmese Society (WEBS) and a member of Ohio State Persian club (no, I do not have any Persian cats, I am only a member so I can participate in a club that puts on shows). I also work full-time in Purchasing at Lee Middleton Original Dolls.

I am breeding the European Burmese which means that they do NOT have any CFA (American) Burmese bloodlines in the pedigree. They are considered to be two different breeds in the Cat Fanciers' Association (United States) and I totally support that decision. The main difference is the type and on top of that the colors are somewhat different. The American Burmese comes in four colors and the European Burmese comes in the same four colors plus six additional. The temperament is the same for the two breeds.
